His areas of expertise include general surgery, minimally invasive surgery and complex surgical oncology. Dr. Barrak received his medical degree from the University of Balamand in Balamand, Lebanon, and his Mater of Public Health and Healthcare Management degree from the American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon. He completed a Surgical Internship at the American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon, a General Surgery residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, a Complex General Surgical Oncology Research Fellowship at the University of Southern California, Norris Cancer Center, in Los Angeles, CA, and an additional fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, PA. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Barrak is fluent in English, Arabic and French.

 

Logan Blankenship, MD has joined the Gynecologic Oncology department from the Watson Clinic Bella Vista Building at 1755 N. Florida Ave. in Lakeland.

 

Dr. Blankenship received her Master of Science in Women’s Health degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL, and her medical degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida in Jacksonville, FL, and her fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Texas in San Antonio, TX. She is a member of the Western Association of Gynecologic Oncologists, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

 

Registered nurse practitioner Allison Fojtik, MSN, APRN works alongside board-certified Cardiologist John G. Canto, MD, MSPH, FACC, FACP, FAHA, FASE from the Watson Clinic Main location at 1600 Lakeland Hills Blvd. in Lakeland.

 

Her areas of expertise include the management of cardiac arrythmia, coronary artery disease, hypertension, diabetes and heart failure. Ms. Fojtik received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the Florida Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Polk County Nurse Practitioners Association.

Ms. Matthews received her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Association of Physician Associates in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
