APRN/PA- Hem/Onc (Gitter & Rohatgi) (PT) - Lakeland, FL

Hematology/Oncology practice is seeking a Part-Time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to collaborate with in order to diagnose, treat & manage patients in an inpatient setting. We are looking for an empathetic, team player with a willingness to learn. Anticipated schedule would be Monday – Friday, approximately four hours per day and two weekends per month when physician is on hospital call.

*Previous experience in Oncology or in a hospital- based setting is preferred, but not required.

The practitioner will practice under the direction of our Oncologists, Dr. Gitter and Dr. Rohatgi, to provide essential duties such as but not limited to:

• Performing H&Ps
• Documenting examination results
• Maintaining and updating progress notes in a timely manner
• Providing continuity of care
• Writing orders for medications or tests
• Providing patient education
