Hassan Hasanein, MD has joined the Oncology-Hematology department at the Watson Clinic Cancer & Research Center at 1730 Lakeland Hills Blvd. in Lakeland.

Dr. Hasanein received his medical degree from the University of Damascus School of Medicine in Damascus, Syria. He joined the Department of Melanoma at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, where he engaged in clinical research. He went on to complete a residency in Internal Medicine at Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, and a fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. Dr. Hasanein is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology and the American College of Physicians.
